CHIFFON

Let's start with Chiffon fabrics: light, soft but at the same time resistant.

The word "Chiffon" derives from the French Chiffe, or "Cencio", it was used in the nineteenth century to create elegant evening dresses or refined parts of clothing such as ribbons, scarves, etc.

Our Chiffon fabrics are made of pure Viscose or 70% Viscose and 30% Silk.

The basic Viscose is of natural origin, it is extracted from wood cellulose when it is in a liquid state. It is then processed together with synthetic fibres. Its peculiarity lies in its breathability and softness, all characteristics that make it very pleasant to wear. Furthermore, it is resistant over time and always has lively and bright colours.

Silk on the other hand, as we already know, is one of the most valuable fabrics. It has very ancient origins, it was discovered for the first time in 3000 BC in China. Soft, elegant, resistant to deformation and with lively, brilliant colours. It is an excellent insulator, in fact it adapts to both the summer and winter seasons.

You can also find fabrics in pure silk chiffon, polyester and cotton and silk blends.

SANGALLO COTTON

Another type of fabric suitable for this season, in addition to the classic cotton, is Sangallo cotton. A fine, fresh, simple, refined and at the same time super elegant fabric. Its distinctive feature? Openwork or solid embroidery in relief. It takes its name from the Swiss city of St. Gallen in the 19th century. Being characterized by a perforated texture, it is perfect to use during the spring and summer seasons
